Idea: panelbased facade system & maintainance vehicle

HOW CAN URBAN ARCHITECTURE BE PART OF THE SOLUTION FOR OVERHEATING & ENERGY OVERCONSUMPTION?
There is a high density of post-war buildings in Austria, and their stucco-free façades make them ideal for retrofitting with a panel-based facade structure. The advantage of this is that the architecture becomes part of the solution to the problems of overheating, soil sealing and the energy crisis.
The Palfinger assembly crane is designed to transport the panels and to install and maintain them directly on site. The vertical rails of the facade system are designed so that the crane can hook into them for more precise work.
